Kaninang pong 2:30 nang umaga, nilusob ang Malacañang at mga kapaligiran ng Palasyo ng mga demonstrators na galing sa EDSA Shrine. Habang sila’y patungo sa Palasyo, ang mga rally-ista ay ninakawan at sinira ang ilang mga tindahan sa mga lansangang kanilang dinaanan. There was a great deal of looting and vandalism.
Despite our controlled response, dalawang pulis ang namatay. I commiserate with their families. I will take care of their families. I thank them and all the troops and civilians who have been protecting me and the Republic.
